ACLU and Planned Parenthood challenge Ohio dignified burial

law for aborted babies

The ACLU and Planned Parenthood filed a request in a Hamilton County court for an injunction against Ohio’s newly-implemented dignified burial law. The state’s Unborn Child Dignity Act goes into full effect in February.

The request for a preliminary injunction says that abortionists would have to make great effort to comply with the new law. The legislation, Senate Bill 27, “imposes extremely onerous provisions that require a sea change in how Plaintiffs dispose of embryonic and fetal tissue after a procedural abortion (sometimes called a surgical abortion),” the ACLU said.

“SB 27 simply dignifies the life of a child who died because of an abortion and provides a proper burial for that child,” ORTL president Mike Gonidakis told The Columbus Dispatch.

“The inhumanity of the ACLU and Planned Parenthood knows no boundaries. Ohio Right to Life is confident that this compassionate law will withstand court scrutiny.”

Dangers to Life in Prenatal Testing

Modern forms of non -invasive prenatal tests are growing in popularity, being used by hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of women every year in the United States alone. These highly profitable tests, which promise parents a glimpse into the future of an unborn child by detecting some type of malformation or genetic abnormality, are aggressively marketed to pregnant women, and in many OB/GYN practices are now routine.

However, a devastating new investigation by The New York Times has found that many of those tests, which are completely unregulated by the FDA, are not remotely as accurate as the biomedical companies behind them would like parents to believe. Marketing materials put out by the testing companies suggest that the tests are “reliable” and “highly accurate.” In reality, however, some of the most common tests return false positives as much as 85-90% of the time, according to the Times’ analysis.

One marketing brochure from a testing company promises that the tests can provide “peace of mind” for the parents. However, as the Times notes, parents who receive a positive result often find anything but peace of mind:

In interviews, 14 patients who got false positives said the experience was agonizing. They recalled frantically researching conditions they’d never heard of, followed by sleepless nights and days hiding their bulging bellies from friends. Eight said they never received any information about the possibility of a false positive, and five recalled that their doctor treated the test results as definitive.

Women whose unborn children return a positive result from one of the blood tests are supposed to go on to get more reliable – but still far from perfect – tests, such as those done through amniocentesis. However, one 2014 study found that over 6% of women simply aborted their children without pursuing follow-up testing. No doubt, some of those children were healthy.

In a truly tolerant and humane society, such testing could be used to develop or administer treatments to those children that are diagnosed with medical problems, or to help prepare the parents to face the challenges of caring for a child with a disability.

Unfortunately, in our anti-life society astonishing advances of medical science are being used not to protect, but to attack human life.

The rise of routine prenatal screening for health problems and genetic disorders has ushered in a new age of eugenics – a eugenic movement hidden behind a soothing veneer of lab coats and sterile clinics. In some cases, prenatal testing has given rise to what can only be called a “genocide”. A genocide is defined as the attempted destruction of a particular group of people. What else are we to call the systematic elimination of as many as 90% of children diagnosed in utero with Down Syndrome?

Our modern eugenicists do not want to stop at Down Syndrome. They hope to eliminate all genetic disease, not by eliminating the disease itself, but rather unborn children diagnosed with that disease. And their primary tool for accomplishing this is widespread prenatal testing.

Why Cleveland Right to Life is Weighing in on the COVID-19 “Vaccination” Fray.

As the first sentence of our Mission Statement cites, “WE believe that all human beings are made in the image of the Creator and must be respected and protected from the moment of conception until natural death.”

Until natural death.

In recent days, evidence of mass dose response experimentation via the COVID-19 “vaccinations” from Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson has emerged. What is “dose response”? A toxic dose is defined as the quantity of a substance that will produce a harmful or untoward effect.

The following information came to light through theCorona Investigative Committee. During Session 86 of the Corona Committee, Dr. Fuellmich and his team interviewed Dr. Michael Yeadon. He is a former Vice President of Pfizer where he was Global Head of Respiratory Research. During the interview, Dr. Yeadon presents evidence showing that the Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson products have a high degree of variability from lot to lot. He makes the case that there is a significant enough difference in the number adverse effects linked by lot, that the lots MUST contain different materials.

Dr. Yeadon makes the case that this level of variability is simply impossible under normal manufacturing conditions (GMP). He states he can prove that this is being done by design and that not only is there a difference in the amount of active material in the jabs by lot, but that there has to be a difference in the amount of active materials contained within the shots.

Several important things have transpired in the last few days for Ohio’s pro-life movement and we just wanted to make sure that you  were in the loop.

Abortionist David Burkons appears to have purchased Capital Care of Toledo, Toledo’s last abortion facility.

Burkons owns and operates Northeast Ohio Women’s Center, the abortion facility here in Cuyahoga Falls that threw a baby’s body in the trash last summer. Burkons has re-branded Capital Care as Toledo Women’s Center but will continue to offer only chemical abortions at the location. The facility lost the license which enabled it to commit surgical abortions back in September of 2019.

Thankfully, the Foundation for Life, Toledo’s right to life group, has purchased the parking lot across from the facility. This will give local sidewalk counselors an edge in their advocacy and ensure they will be able to continue reaching abortion-vulnerable women on the sidewalk regardless of what happens moving forward.

On our end, we are continuing to monitor the State Medical Board’s handling of our complaint against Burkons which we filed after a baby’s body, along with items containing confidential patient information and bio -hazard waste, were found in the dumpster behind Northeast Ohio Women’s Center. The board closed Right to Life of Northeast Ohio’s complaint late last year without taking any known action against Burkons. In response, we sent them a letter urging them to reopen the complaint which, to their credit, they did promptly. We will keep you updated as this situation progresses and continue to be hopeful that Burkons will ultimately be held accountable for his numerous health, safety, and human rights violations. Until then, we will do everything in our power to advocate for accountability and work to shut these life-ending facilities down.

The fight to protect life may have many twists and turns but we can take heart in knowing that in the end, life does win.

God bless you for everything you are doing for life!

For Life,

New Jersey Gov Phil Murphy Defends Signing Bill for Abortions Up to Birth: I’m Still a “Good Catholic.”

As a Catholic, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy is coming under fire from Catholics who say he totally violated the pro-life principles of the Catholic Church, of which he claims to be a sincere follower. Yesterday, Governor Murphy signed into law a bill that makes killing babies in abortions a “right” in the state and allows abortions up to birth.

The radical measure also could lead to forcing New Jersey residents to fund abortions with their tax dollars.

The bill also allows “all qualified health care professionals,” to conduct abortions. Although abortion advocates have said for decades that abortions should be “between a woman and her doctor,” the legislation now allows non-doctors to do abortions — putting the life and heath of women at risk.

Murphy relies on a dissident Catholic priest who ignores Catholic pro-life teachings and supports abortion. Instead of relying on Catholic doctrine, papal statements or his own Catholic bishops, he justifies his decision to sign the bill for abortions up to birth based on one priest.

The state’s Catholic bishops are also critical. They expressed “profound disappointment and deep concern” about the legislation. “As a professed Catholic, Murphy seems to have separated himself from the teachings of the Catholic Church. This is tragic for his soul, sends a false message to the people of New Jersey.”

Murphy has been rebuked before by a Catholic bishop, when he signed a bill legalizing assisted suicide.

Through a new coalition, Working Together for NJ, pro-lifers in the state have been working hard to stop the radical pro-abortion expansion, warning that it could lead to more human trafficking as well as more abortions. It’s “a human trafficker’s best friend. Sex slaves get pregnant. Human traffickers have to pay for the abortions as a result. But this legislation will require all New Jersey taxpayers to pay for the abortions of sex trafficking victims,” said the Rev. Gregory Quinlan of Center for Garden State Families.

New Jersey already has the highest abortion rate in the country and some of the most permissive pro-abortion laws.
