Calling Out ORTL for their DeWine Endorsement

The Right to Life Action Coalition (RTLACO), an association of Ohio grassroots pro-life organizations, has completed its intensive vetting process for endorsing candidates. The Ohio primary elections will conclude on Tuesday, May 3. RTLACO endorsed candidates for the primary election might surprise some pro-lifers.

“Many people don’t realize how our survey process works when it comes to endorsing candidates,” says Margie Christie, President of RTLACO. “The Coalition does not endorse politicians in every race, and we never endorse candidates who have exceptions for abortion.”

The RTLACO endorsement process takes months to complete. Often candidates will fill out their surveys indicating exceptions to pro- life values, which will preclude an endorsement from Ohio’s largest pro-life coalition. “We allow no exceptions whatsoever. When we endorse a candidate, it means that person has met our strict requirements and will likely uphold the non – compromising values RTLACO upholds, if he or she should assume office,” says Christie.

In the high-visibility gubernatorial race, many pro-life Ohioans are surprised to know the Coalition has pulled its endorsement of Governor Mike DeWine (view here). On the other hand, Ohio Right to Life has endorsed DeWine in spite ofhis appointing Obama campaigner and Planned Parenthood supporter, Dr. Amy Acton as his first Director of Health.

“Mike DeWine is pro- life only when it is politically expedited. His entire political career, he has never once cast a pro -life vote that cost him politically,” says Ed Sitter, Executive Director for Greater Toledo Right to Life. “DeWine broke two campaign promises: first, that he would appoint an Ohio Department of Health Director (ODH) that Ohio’s pro-life community would be happy with, and second, to bring much need reform to ODH DeWine failed on both promises.”

RTLACO also examined the Governor’s record since being elected:

–Currently, under the DeWine administration, every one of the six surgical abortion clinics in the state is operating under an expired license from the Ohio Department of Health. Most of them expired over three years ago, long before the COVID emergency. See details from ODH website here: Ambulatory Surgical Facility (ASF) License Information below was accessed on April 18, 2022 at

Planned Parenthood Cleveland12/31/2018

In the case of the abortion clinic in Dayton (ordered closed in 2016 under the Kasich Administration), Governor DeWine’s first Director of Health, Amy Acton, granted the clinic a new license simply by allowing it to change its name. That facility remains open today, with an expired license, killing about 50 babies each week.

During the COVID emergency, Ohio’s abortion clinics remained open with no constraints, while the DeWine Administration was shutting down restaurants, barber shops, hair salons, dentist offices, and numerous other small businesses.

“We have to clear up this confusion as to why two statewide pro-life organizations are endorsing two different gubernatorial candidates,” says Christie, “The pro-life community is looking for an endorsement that reflects a candidate’s beliefs, as well as their actions. Unlike Ohio Right to Life, RTLACO’s endorsements are not rubber stamps for incumbents. Actions matter.”

The Right to Life Action Coalition of Ohio’s foundational principle is to safeguard the inalienable right to life – with the recognition of personhood, from conception until natural death, with no exceptions.

Abortion Free for Now: Kentucky
Abortion Businesses Halt Abortions after Pro-Life Law Takes Effect.

Louisville, KY — When the Kentucky Legislature  overrode Democrat Gov. Andy Beshear’s veto of HB 3, the omnibus abortion law went into immediate effect. As a result, Kentucky’s two abortion facilities voluntarily halted all abortions.

Since April 14, 2022, Kentucky has been abortion free. This has sent shock waves through the Abortion Cartel, who already fear the U.S. Supreme Court may overturn Roe v. Wade when it issues a decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization later this spring.

“We are proud of the Kentucky Legislature having the courage to stand up for women and innocent babies,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue. “Every day this law remains in force is another day babies are not dying barbaric violent deaths.”

“I am encouraged to hear that this important case is not in the hands of a radical liberal pro-abortion judge, which gives the law an opportunity to survive the abortionists’ challenge,” said Newman. “I pray that no injunction will be issued, and this law can continue saving babies and sparing women from the dangers of abortion.”

Biden Admin Helped University Defend Using Aborted Baby Parts in Research.

Judicial Watch announced April 19, 2022 it  obtained 34 pages of new records revealing that the Associate Senior Vice Chancellor for Science Strategy and Planning in the Health Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Jeremy Berg, contacted then-Director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Francis Collins requesting help to combat, “efforts to undermine important science using fetal tissue.” Additionally, the records include a scientific report containing information about grafting human scalp and other tissues onto mice.

“These documents expose the collusion between the University of Pittsburgh and the NIH over the fetal organ ‘chop shop’ in the University of Pittsburgh paid for with federal tax dollars,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “Here we have the federal government and a major university seemingly desperate to continue the barbaric trafficking the organs of human being killed by abortion.”Read Full Article from LifeNews HERE!
